JENNETTE HELPS TECH POUND VMI

Les Jennette hit two home runs and drove in six runs as Virginia Tech defeated VMI 12-3 in a non-conference college baseball game Tuesday.

Jennette hit a three-run homer in the first inning as Tech took a 5-0 lead. With the margin up to 7-1 in the fifth, Jennette hit a two-run shot that highlighted a three-run inning.

The junior from Richmond finished with three hits, including a double, and scored two runs for the Hokies (17-18).

VMI is 2-28-1.
