OBIT-LAVINDER, E.

Elizabeth (Betty) M. Lavinder, age 67, of Roanoke, died Thursday in a local hospital. She was a member of Grandin Court Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Forrest G. Lavinder, Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn P. and Elaine Lavinder, Forrest G., Jr. and Ilene Lavinder, all of Roanoke; mother, Elizabeth Wilson Olive, Roanoke; seven grandchildren, two brothers, John E. Olive, Roswell, Ga.; Rev. Howard Olive, Jr., Lebanon, Pa.; and one sister, Carolyn Shepherd, Marlton, N.J. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Robert M. Hamner officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
