BRYANT, GLENN A., SR.

Mr. Glenn Allen Bryant, Sr., age 84, of Claiborne Avenue, Rocky Mount, died Monday, December 30, 1991 in Franklin Healthcare. Mr. Bryant was a member of Furnace Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Rocky Mount Masonic Lodge #201, The Knights Templar #031 of Martinsville, Martinsville Royal Arch Order #40, The Kazim Temple Shrine of Roanoke, and retired with 52 years of service from the Norfolk & Western Railroad. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Winfred Bryant of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn A. Bryant, Jr. and Marjorie (Jan) Bryant, Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Mary Jo Bryant, Cincinnati; one grandson, Glenn Allen Bryant, III, also of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Herman Grey Bryant, Henry; H. D. Bryant, Augusta, S.C.; one sister, Lucille Southern, Walnut Cove, N.C.; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Shirley Carter, Hurt; one stepdaughter-in-law, Jo Anne Carter, Lynchburg; five stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 1992 at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Chapel by Dr. Richard D. Harrell. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park with Masonic Graveside rites. Memorials may be made to the Glenn A. Bryant Memorial Fund at Furnace Creek Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
