DEYERLE, FANNIE M.

Fannie Mae McLendon Deyerle, age 80, of Roanoke County, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday. She was a daughter of the late Angus Dencil McLendon and Fannie Mae Hicks McLendon. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in the Appomattox Chapter and a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Norris Deyerle, Sr.; a daughter, Loretta Ann Waller and three brothers, Lennox L. McLendon, A. DeVerne McLendon, Angus Hicks McLendon. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, E. Norris Deyerle, Jr. and Margaret (Peggy) C. Deyerle of Lynchburg; two stepdaughters, Peggy Deyerle Parr of Roanoke; and Eleanor Kaye Deyerle Combs of Arlington; granddaughter, Jacquelyn Nicole Deyerle; grandson, Adam Norris Deyerle, both of Lynchburg; five stepgrandchildren, three sisters, Elizabeth McLendon Fink of El Paso, Texas; Joyce McLendon Yarborough of West Columbia, S. C.; Scotta McLendon Hodge of Dovesville, S. C.; one brother, Charles Lockhart McLendon of Columbia, S. C. Funeral services will be held at Cave Spring United Methodist Church 1:00 p.m. Friday with the Rev. William C. Logan officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's South Chapel.
