HENDRICK, MARVIN C., SR.

Marvin Christian Hendrick, Sr., age 87, of Salem, died Wednesday at Richfield Nursing Center. He is survived by his wife, Frances Hendrick; two sons, Marvin Hendrick, Jr., Staunton; William G. Hendrick and daughter-in-law, Laura, Prospect, Ky.; two daughters, Merlene Taylor and son-in-law, Sherwood, Englishtown, N.J.; Donna H. Davids and son-in-law, John H., Falston, Md.; two brothers, Lewis Hendrick and sister-in-law, Florence, Roanoke; William Hendrick, National City, Calif.; one sister, Pauline Facente and brother-in-law, Al, Orlando, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Foutz, Roanoke; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel, with the Rev. Hugh Davids officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideon Society. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
