Dame Judith Anderson, the actress who stalked the world's stages and films in potent portrayals of complex and tormented women, died Friday.The quintessential Medea, Lady Macbeth and the obsessively deranged Mrs. Danvers of "Rebecca" was 93.
One of her last roles was as the imperiously dotty matriarch on the soap opera "Santa Barbara" - from its debut in 1984 until 1987.
