FARISS, IRENE L.WYTHEVILLE - Irene Lewis Fariss, age 98, a resident of Birdmont Health Care Center and formerly of Max Meadows, died Saturday at her residence. She was a graduate of Richmond College. She served as a Christian missionary in the South. She was a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Lettie Fariss of Roanoke, Va.; two grandsons, Eddie Fariss and Everett Fariss, both of Goldsboro, N.C.; one stepgrandson, James Duncan of Roanoke, Va. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery, Wytheville. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 Monday evening. The Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va., is in charge of the arrangements.
