WOLFE, WILLIE K.

Willie Kay Wolfe, age 89, of Bland, Va., died Monday in the Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Bland, Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles and Lou Farley Kirby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernie E. Wolfe; one daughter, Louise Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Mary) Melvin; one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Norma Jean Wolfe; a son-in-law, Jack Smith, all of Bland; two sisters, Mollie Shrader, Bland; Irene Melvin, Dublin; three brothers, Harve Kirby, Davis Kirby, both of Bland; Joe Kirby, Huntingtown, Md.; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Newberry Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Hoges Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Newberry Funeral Home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. Newberry Funeral Home, Bland, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
