NICHOLS, EDITH A.

Edith Apgar Nichols, age 96, of Elliston, died Wednesday at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tyree A. Nichols; father and mother, Peter Isbon and Irene Gardner Apgar; two sisters, Gretta Apgar, Janet Apgar Ross; one brother, Walter R. Apgar. Surviving are two stepsons, James A. Nichols, John G. Nichols; three stepdaughters, Mary Horsfal, Rebecca Arvin, Doris Jean Ange; sister-in-law, Hazel S. Apgar; two nieces, June Ross Smith, Ruth Apgar Glock; three nephews, Fred Apgar, Don Apgar, Michael Apgar; 14 stepgrandchildren; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren; 1 stepgreat-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lafayette United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steven W. Greer officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.
