CARTER, CLEO M.Cleo M. Carter, age 68, of 2216 Durham Street Ext., Burlington, died Wednesday, January 8, 1992, in North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, N.C. She was the manager of Endless Summer Tanning Salon and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Carter was a member of the Broadstreet Senior Citizens Group and a senior cheerleader for the Special Olympics. She is survived by her former husband, Albert S. Carter Jr., Woodbridge, Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Barbara Mitchell, Burlington, N.C.; Mrs. Mary K. White, Roanoke, Va.; Ms. Debra C. Nelson and Ms. June K. Carter, both of Woodbridge, Va.; one son, Michael E. Carter, Stafford, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Margaret M. Gilbert, Burlington, N.C.; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 1992, at 2:00 p.m. in Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 S. Church St., Burlington, N.C., conducted by the Rev. Randy Hobbs and the Rev. C. Max Allman. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Barbara Mitchell, 1213 Gordon Street, Burlington, N.C.
