GOP ACTIVIST TO RUN AGAINST REP. MORAN

An Arlington County Republican activist says he will challenge Rep. James Moran for the 8th District congressional seat this year.

Joe Vasapoli, the first Republican to announce for the seat, previously was Republican counsel to the House Energy and Commerce Committee and chairman of the Arlington Republican Party. He lost a race for the state Senate in 1987.
