ZANE JONES RE-ELECTED TO LEAD CRAIG SUPERVISORS
Zane M. Jones, the almost perennial chairman of the Craig County Board of Supervisors, has begun another year in that post. His two fellow board members re-elected him chairman at the board's reorganizational meeting this week.
John M. Lee also was re-elected vice chairman.
The third member of the board is Virginia S. Caldwell.
Jones is beginning his 37th year on the board. He has been chairman for all but about six years.
In accepting the chairmanship, Jones said the big watchword in Craig in 1992 again will be the economy and the county's tight finances.
"It looks like this will be the tightest year of all," he said, noting the prospect of continuing reductions in revenue from the state. "We must watch our dollars."
The board also reappointed Richard C. Flora as county administrator and clerk of the board.
