MOORE, JAMES H.
James H. Moore, age 70, died Wednesday in a Pequannock, N.J. hospital. He was born in Rockbridge County September 20, 1921, a son of the late Harry and Ada Lilly Moore. He was a resident of Rockbridge County before moving to New Jersey in 1952. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired from Owens-Illinois, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Alice Staton Moore, Oakland, N.J.; one daughter, Joyce Reyes, Butler, N.J.; two sons, James H. Moore, Jr. and Michael Moore, both of Albunquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Carl Moore, Glasgow; and Bernard J. Moore, Lexington; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19 at Lomax Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
