GILES CHURCHES JOINING IN PULPIT EXCHANGE
Twenty-four Giles County churches and 16 pastors are participating in a pulpit exchange Sunday.
The event is sponsored by the Giles Ministerial Association in connection with the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which is being celebrated this week.
Each participating church and its guest preacher, according to communities:
\ Bane area: Eaton's chapel, Pleasant Hill and Thessalia United Methodist churches - the Rev. Buddy Woodson.
\ Eggleston: Wesley's Chapel and Bear Spring United Methodist churches - the Rev. Kimball Jones.
\ Narrows: Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness - the Rev. Lowell Stovall; First Baptist - the Rev. Margaret Johnston; First Christian - the Rev. Larry Patton; First United Methodist - the Rev. Barry Franklin; Kathleen Memorial and Hills Chapel United Methodist churches - the Rev. James Belcher.
\ Newport: Mount Olivet United Methodist - the Rev. Blanche Powell; Sherry Memorial Christian - the Rev. Ralph Kidd.
\ Pearisburg: Christ Episcopal - the Rev. Douglas Hyndrich; First United Methodist - the Rev. Dennis Gillespie; Pearisburg Baptist - the Rev. Reggie Rumbaugh; Redeemer Lutheran - the Rev. Jeff Callahan.
