WALROND, JAMES P.

James Paul Walrond, age 74, of Roanoke died Wednesday, January 22, 1992. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Andrews, Pitzer, Butler Oil Company. He is survived by his wife, Susie B. Walrond; two sons and daughters-in-law, J.P. Walrond, III and his wife Shirley, Roanoke; H.E. Bowling and wife, Patricia, Salem; three grandsons, Christopher Eugene Bowling, Jeffrey and Eric Walrond; one granddaughter, Corrie B. Wingate; two great-grandsons, Zachary and William Wingate; four brothers, Willis H. Walrond, Salem; William Walrond, Roanoke; Jack F. Walrond, Fla.; Kenneth Walrond, Pa.; three sisters, Elizabeth Kelly, Washington state; Sandra Walrond and Kay Bosley, both of Md. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 25 with the Rev. Emory N. Tarpley, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
