DICKERSON, RAFORD G.

Raford G. (Dick) Dickerson, age 60, of Rt. 2 Moneta, died Sunday, February 2, 1992, in the VA Medical Center. He was retired from the U.S. Navy Seabees. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan L. and Ada S. Dickerson; two brothers, Jackson Dickerson and Dickie Dickerson. Surviving are his wife, Norine F. Dickerson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy D. and Rick E. Kropff, Bedford; Chrystal D. and Joey S. Brown, Martinsville; two grandchildren, Richard R. Kropff; D.D. Brown; two brothers, M. Lewis Dickerson, Roanoke; Earl Dickerson, Vinton; two sisters, Jean Dickerson, Christiansburg; Alice Marie Davis, Martinsville. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Mike Winters officiating. Interment with military honors by representatives of NMCB 23 in the Bandy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to the Chamblissburg Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
