GROUPS PLANNING HORSE PROGRAMS
A series of horse programs by the Pulaski County extension office, Mountain Trails 4-H Horse Club, Pulaski Future Farmers of America and area agribusinesses will be held Feb. 11, 18 and 22.The Feb. 11 seminar will cover "Forage Management for Health," "Structures and Facilities for Safety" and fencing, barns and practical operation design.
Discussions Feb. 18 will include "Breeding Trait Selection," "Breeding Management," stud-farm selection, breeding contracts and mare preparation.
Sessions will be held at Pulaski County High.
The day clinic Feb. 22 will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Richardson Building at the New River Valley Fairgrounds.
The clinic will concentrate on "Breaking and Training: Basic Horsemanship" and "Total Horse Health."
Brochures are available at any county extension office. Early registration will be accepted.
