COUGARS EARN 6TH WIN IN ROW
Chris Foster had a career-high 28 points in leading Pulaski County (9-6) to its sixth consecutive victory, a 78-70 non-district win over Bluefield, which was ranked No. 6 in the West Virginia Group AAA preseason poll.The Cougars dominated the rebounding 43-16, with Foster getting 15 and Chris Burns 11.
Pulaski County led by 13 points in the first quarter before Bluefield came back. The Cougars led 37-36 at halftime. The score stayed close through the second half. Pulaski County went ahead to stay 58-57 and pulled away in the final three minutes.
Matt Burton led Bluefield with 26 points.
Burns had 14 points and John Akers added 12 for the Cougars, who play their fourth game in five days when they play host to Heritage tonight. \
