ARSENAL HAS NEW EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Capt. Herman Fitzgerald is the new executive officer of the Radford Army Ammunition Plant.He replaces Capt. Karl Gohlke, who was transferred to Zweibrucken, Germany.
Fitzgerald began his military career while he was a student at the University of Kentucky studying physical education and recreation. He was an ROTC member and served as an Army reservist for two years.
Before joining the Radford plant, he was stationed at Pirmasens, Germany, where he was a supply officer and a company commander. He has served in several leadership positions in the United States and abroad.
Fitzgerald hopes to become involved in many community activities, including coaching on the high school level.
A native of Radcliff, Ky., Fitzgerald also hopes to raise, train and breed Rottweilers when he retires from the Army.
