SEMINAR TO LOOK AT MANAGEMENT STYLES
Current economic conditions in the United States have forced many companies, businesses and corporations to look at new management styles to get the most for their money."Introduction to Total Quality Management" will be held Feb. 17 in the New River Valley Mall community room, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
The cost is $95 per person, which includes materials and refreshments. The pre-registration deadline is Feb. 13.
The seminar, designed for organizations contemplating using a total quality management system, includes general information on several styles, such as the Deming philosophy, the Philip Crosby philosophy and Taguchi methods for continuing improvement of businesses.
Several speakers will teach the basics, explain the advantages and pitfalls and discuss the sweeping national trend toward innovative shifts in management.
