DIEHL, ARLINE K.Mrs. Arline K. Diehl, age 76, died in her sleep at home on February 1, 1992. Mrs. Diehl, the daughter of Harvey and Laura Spannuth, was born in Reading, Penn. on August 30, 1915. She was the widow of Alexander A. Diehl. She moved to Roanoke in 1977 after her retirement as a private-duty Registered Nurse at the Washington Hospital Center in the District of Columbia. She was an active, longtime volunteer at Center in the Square and was currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Citizens Environmental Council. She is survived by her sons, John, of Stone Mtn., Ga., and Peter, of Portland, Ore. and by her grandchildren, Michelle, John, Jr., Jenny and Tiffani. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, 1992 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church, 2339 Grandin Rd., S.W., Roanoke. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Endowment Fund of the Center in the Square, Roanoke. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
