PONTON, HAMPTON F., SR.

BUCHANAN - Hampton Floyd Ponton, Sr., age 72, died Thursday. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Morris Ponton; two sons and daughters-in-law; Dwight (Butch) and Stephanie Ponton, Buchanan; Floyd and Susan Ponton, Vinton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Tommy Zimmerman, Buchanan; Debbie and Steve Deacon, Boones Mill; brother, Rev. Fred Ponton, Maryville, Tenn.; three sisters, Edna Albertson, Portsmouth; Martha Frankos, Chesapeake; Annie Albertson, Portsmouth; and four granddaughters, Heather, Ashley and Morgan Ponton; Jessica Zimmerman. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 8, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. in Virginia Presbyterian Church - Pico with the Rev. Julianne Hollingsworth, Rev. Robert Miller, and Rev. H. Marvin Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buchanan Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, Buchanan.
