PARKER EXPECTED TO REJOIN CAVALIERS

Sophomore Cornel Parker, who left Virginia's basketball team earlier in the week, will rejoin the team for practice Saturday.

The school announced Friday that Parker is expected to play in UVa's next game, Thursday night against Florida State, but not start.

Classmate Derrick Johnson, who started Wednesday night in UVa's 61-57 double-overtime victory over Virginia, has been named to start against the Seminoles.

Parker, averaging 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds, started the three games before his departure. - Staff report
