STOCKTON-JEFFERSON

Janet A. Jefferson and Billie W. Stockton were married on December 28, 1991, in a private ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. A reception followed at The Red Barn Restaurant in Danville, Virginia. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlon Jefferson, of Dry Fork, Virginia. She graduated from Tunstall High School and Averett College. She also attended Atlanta University, Atlanta, Ga. She is employed by Children's Home Society of Roanoke, Virginia, as a social worker. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Preston, of Penhook, Virginia. He graduated from Franklin County High School in Rocky Mount and the Police Science Institute in Scranton, Pa. He is employed by the Franklin County Sheriff's Department as a criminal investigator. The couple will reside in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
