OBIT ABDELLA, NEVA S.

Neva (Abby) Smith Dellis Abdella, 78 of 1201 Long Meadow Drive, died Friday, February 7, 1992 in Lynchburg General Hospital. Her husband was the late Samuel S. Abdella. Born in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Moncie Bennett Dellis and Ocie Quarles Dellis. She was retired from Greyhound Food Management at the General Electric Co. and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Raymond D. Smith and his wife Carolyn, Roanoke; three daughters, Jerry S. Kelley and her husband Bobby, Roanoke; Carol S. Robertson, Roanoke; Donna S. Steuart and her husband Bobo Morton, Lynchburg; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Doug Geeting and the Rev. Wrightson Tongue. Burial will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Whitten Timberlake Funeral Chapel from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. today and at other times at the home of a daughter, Donna Steuart, 419 Hickok Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
