AUSTIN, BESSIE J.

Bessie Jenkins Austin, age 58, died February 7, 1992, in a Lexington hospital. She was born in Bedford County, the daughter of the late Elisha and Mamie Hensley Jenkins. Surviving area her husband, Albert D. Austin; two daughters, Karen A. Mathison, Natural Bridge Station; Susan A. Kidd, Buena Vista; two sons, Robert F. Austin, Buena Vista; David A. Austin, Natural Bridge Station; four sisters, Dolly Edwards, Patty Painter, Lelia Johnson, Katie Mason, all of Natural Bridge Station; five brothers, Lloyd Jenkins, Cecil Jenkins, Marvin Jenkins, Edward Jenkins, Wyatt Jenkins, all of Natural Bridge Station; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Faith Baptist Church by the Rev. Nathan Miller. Burial will follow in the Hill Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
