HANN, ONA S.Ona Shumate Hann, of Salem, died at home Monday morning. She was born in 1910 in Wyoming Co., W.Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Effie Shumate. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was an organist for 39 years. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Herman H. Hann; one son, Rudy J. Hann, and his wife, Carolyn K. Hann; one very special granddaughter (who was like a daughter), Jeri Hann Wilson, of the home; three grandchildren, Sharon K. Cruser, Knoxville, Tenn.; Tina K. Halford, Roanoke; Rob Krupin, Bent Mountain; six great-grandchildren, Marc and Miki Cruser, Knoxville, Tenn.; Shannon and Shea Krupin, Bent Mountain; Ryan and Randi Halford, Roanoke. She is also survived by one beloved sister, Gaynell S. Poff, and husband, Lawrence T. Poff; one brother, Arnold Shumate, all of Salem. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12 at 12:00 noon at the Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. R. Stuart Carlton officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salem Rescue Squad would be appreciated. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.
