VA. HIGHLANDS, KING AGREE ON TRANSFERS
Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon and King College, a four-year Bristol, Tenn., school, have reached a transfer agreement allowing graduates of the Abingdon college to move to King as rising juniors.Virginia Highlands graduates may also seek several scholarships offered by King.
Edwin T. Hardison, dean of instruction and student services at Virginia Highlands, said the agreement "will allow our graduates an excellent option in continuing their education. The students, colleges and our communities will all benefit." - Southwest bureau
