Fred Sowers, age 77, of Roanoke died Tuesday in a Roanoke Hospital. Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Sowers Perkins of Roanoke; a son, William Bruce Sowers of Roanoke; two granddaughters, Lana Leigh Duke and Lorna Leigh Pickeral; a grandson, Roy Lee Perkins; three great-granddaughters, Crystal Lynn Duke, Melissa Ann Gish and Priscilla Ruth Pickeral; all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Lotz Roanoke Chapel 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 1992 with Rev. Carter L. Sloan officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. Friends may call at Lotz Roanoke Chapel 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
