SURFACE, WILLIAM O.

William Otey (Bill) Surface, age 89, died Monday, February 10, 1992, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County on October 15, 1902, and was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Smith Surface. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Levi and Mary Jane Surface; Shirley and Charlotte Surface, all of Blacksburg; one brother, Hubert V. Surface, Christiansburg; a very special great-great-grandson, Dustin Mullins, Blacksburg; a very special sister-in-law, Pansy Surface and niece, Georgia Surface, Blacksburg; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 13, 11:00 a.m. at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Price will officiate. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
