2 REALTY FIRMS FILE IN BANKRUPTCY COURT
Two real estate firms with Roanoke-area properties have petitioned for reorganization, among business bankruptcies filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Roanoke.Quogue-Roanoke Associates, a New York company which owns Mountain View Plaza, a shopping center near Troutville, listed debt and assets at more than $1 million. Its debts include almost $18,000 owed in Botetourt County real estate taxes, court records state.
A.B. Properties Affiliated Services of Roanoke, headed by Randy Bohon, also estimated debts and assets at more than $1 million. The company owns rental property.
Other newly filed petitions include:
Faw Paving Inc. of Dublin, owned by Duane Faw, sought liquidation, listing debt of $38,064 and assets of $33,400.
Sherman and Dawn Collins, doing business as Collins Service Center at Draper, asked for liquidation. Collins reported debt of $159,944 and assets of $11,975.
Two Tazewell County firms headed by Edward Addair filed for liquidation. Spice Creek Energy Inc. estimated debts and assets at less than $50,000; Energy Sales Inc. did not list debts or assets.
Howe K. Hoge of Tazewell asked for liquidation of his firm, a service contractor for the U.S. Forest Service, listing debt of $89,000 and assets of $67,800.
Randy J. Miller, trading as Randy Miller Trucking of Cedar Bluff, filed for reorganization, reporting debt of $851,850 and assets of $680,500.
Indian Mountain Coal Co. of Pound, Wise County, filed for reorganization, listing debt of $739,382 and assets of $1,118,683.
At Jonesville, Lee County, Cowden Contractors Inc., a utility construction company, asked for reorganization, reporting debt of $221,963 and assets of $324,125. - Staff report
