2ND ARREST MADE IN PULASKI MURDER CASE
Town police have arrested a second Wythe County man in the May 1990 shooting death of Timothy Dean Prim, 27, of Pulaski County.Brian Scott Davidson, 30, of Route 3, Max Meadows, was charged Monday with capital murder and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Bond was set Tuesday at $50,000, Lt. Barry Buckner said. A Feb. 24 arraignment is scheduled.
Police made the first arrest in the 21-month investigation last week. Ronnie Allen Weatherman, 22, also of Wythe County, was charged with capital murder and using a firearm in commission of a felony.
Prim, who was shot to death, was found by a hunter May 3, 1990, at the base of Gatewood Dam. His body had 12 bullet wounds.
When Weatherman was arrested last week, police said they had a second suspect in Prim's death, but did not release his name because the investigation was continuing and the suspect was cooperating with authorities.
Weatherman's bond was set at $200,000. A March 30 preliminary hearing was scheduled.
Police have said the evidence uncovered so far tends to indicate that robbery was the motive for the killing.
