2 TEEN-AGERS CHARGED AFTER SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police investigated another shooting incident Tuesday outside a city school, the second such case in less than a week and the third this year at a Norfolk public school. No one was injured in the latest shooting, said Larry Hill, a police department spokesman.
Hill said the gunfire occurred outside Norview High School when a student carrying the weapon was startled by another group of students. After the shots were fired into the air, police chased a car carrying four youths who abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
Hill said a 16-year-old student was charged with discharging a firearm, and another 16-year-old was charged with cocaine possession. The other two students were questioned but had not been charged.
The shooting occurred about 11:40 a.m. There was no indication that the gunman was firing at anyone.
