WELCHER, REBECCA D.

Rebecca D. Welcher, age 43, died February 12, 1992 in Lewis Gale Hospital. She was a member of Sowder's Chapel Baptist Church, Shawsville and a long term volunteer for the VA Hospital in Salem. She was preceded in death by her father, Forrest M. Dickerson. Surviving are her husband, Joe Welcher; mother, Tena Y. Dickerson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Tom Pearman; Peggy and Mike Willis; sisters, Debbie Edwards, Lisa D. Maxey; brothers, Tim Dickerson, all of Shawsville; Warren L. Dickerson and sister-in-law, Sandra, Biloxi, Miss.; several nieces and nephews and many, many loyal relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 14, 1992 at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Carl Basham officiating. Interment will be in the Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery in Shawsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shawsville Rescue Squad or the Elliston Fire Department. No viewing was requested by Rebecca. The family will receive friends at the Lotz Salem Chapel 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
