SUTTLE, JAMES S.

James Samuel Suttle, 67 of 421 Walnut Avenue, Dublin, died early Wednesday morning in the Radford Community Hospital. He was born in Monroe County, West Virginia on April 16, 1924, and was the son of the late William Albert Suttle. He was a retired employee of Celanese Corp., Narrows. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force during World War II and was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Alva Underwood Suttle, Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald Thomas and Shari Suttle, Pulaski County; mother, Margaret Ballard Suttle, Peterstown, W.Va.; sisters, Nedra Orr, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Inez Thompson, Rich Creek; Dorothy Ratcliff, Narrows; Maxine Elitchko, Narrows: Patty Brotherton, Lawrenceville, Va.; Betty Cockerham, Fairfax; Francenia Turner, Narrows; Bonnie Mullens, Rich Creek; Eleanor Dunn, Peterstown, W.Va.; brothers, Bobby Suttle, Peterstown, W. Va.; David Suttle, Rich Creek; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Dublin United Methodist Church with Dr. Larry Ousley officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.Visiting will be Thursday evening at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Dublin United Methodist Church, or to the Pulaski County Life Saving Squad, Dublin.
