OBIT MARSHALL, R.

MARSHALL, ROY S.

Roy Samuel Marshall, age 85, formerly of Roanoke died Wednesday, February 12, 1992. He was a member of Green Ridge Baptist Church; a retired employee of Aaron J. Conner, General Contractors, Inc.; and was a Navy Seabee veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jettie Mae Marshall, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Anna Ruth Walker and husband, Ramon R. Walker, Portsmouth; one granddaughter, Theresa Walker Croft, Christiansburg; one brother, Joseph Clarence Marshall, Floyd; one niece and one nephew. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 15, with the Rev. J. Michael Palmer and the Rev. S.G. Bolt officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. He will be missed by all who knew him. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
