WYTHE MAY CURTAIL SOME COUNTY SERVICES
Wythe County may let services in some of its constitutional offices lapse this year if the state does not fund them. The county Board of Supervisors, at its meeting Tuesday, discussed not adding local funds to the operations of those offices as requested by the state.
Commissioner of Revenue Mary N. "Sis" Brown said the cut in state funds, if not made up by the locality, would mean her office would have to curtail services. - Southwest bureau
