HAMRIC, JEAN D.LEXINGTON - Jean Doubet Hamric, age 66, died Wednesday, February 12, 1992, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born February 27, 1925, in Roseburg, Oregon, and was the daughter of the late Earl W. and Julia P. Doubet. She was the widow of Herbert N. Hamric and was a remedial reading specialist in the Buena Vista City School System. She was a member and Sunday School teacher of Manly Memorial Baptist Church and various community organizations. She is survived by her six sons and their wives, Rick and Donna Hamric, Staunton; David and Marti Hamric, Chesapeake; Robert and Debra Hamric, Lynchburg; Mark and Dina Hamric, Radford; Rev. Will and Jan Hamric, Lexington; John and Cristi Hamric, Louisville, Ky.; two grandsons, Nathan and Justin Hamric, Staunton; two brothers, Earl W. Doubet, Jr., Peoria, Ill.; Joe Doubet, San Francisco, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 1992, at 2:00 p.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. Thomas G. Harvey, the Rev. D. B. Martin and the Rev. Richard Moyers officiating. Private interment at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jean D. Hamric Memorial Scholarship Fund at Manly Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
