EX-ROBB AIDE PLEADS GUILTY IN TAPING CASE
A former aide to U.S. Sen. Charles Robb was fined the maximum $10,000 after pleading guilty Thursday to conspiracy and disclosing an illegally taped cellular telephone.Robert Watson, 35, was the second former Robb aide to admit to an infraction stemming from the 1988 taping of then-Lt. Gov. Douglas Wilder's conversation with a Hampton Roads businessman.
Steven Johnson, Robb's former press secretary, pleaded guilty Jan. 23 to conspiring to distribute the tape and was fined $5,000.
