NOMINATE AND ELECT DAVID BOWERS MAYOR
I STRONGLY urge Roanoke city voters to attend the mass meeting at William Fleming High School Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. to assure the nomination of David Bowers as the Democratic candidate for mayor.David is a positive-thinking man with imagination and dedication. He will strive for what is best for Roanoke and its citizens.
David is his own man. He will not be swayed by cliques or pressure groups. He has the courage of his convictions. He had the intestinal fortitude to say he was offering for mayor before Noel Taylor decided not to run.
And we must not forget David was the only council person who stood with us in our opposition to the removal of the viaduct wing. Let's nominate him and elect him on May 5. RANDOLPH H. GRAYBILL ROANOKE
