DAUGHERTY-GUTHRIE

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald E. Daugherty, of Vinton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Carol Lynne, to Joseph William Guthrie, son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Guthrie, of Dublin, Va. Miss. Daugherty graduated from Bridgewater College and is presently employed by the Orvis Company. Mr. Guthrie graduated from Virginia Tech and has completed coursework for a master's degree at Massey University in New Zealand. He is currently employed by Guthrie Brothers Farm in Dublin, Va. A May wedding is planned.
