CHRISTLEY-MARTIN

A. Linette Martin and Michael Wayne Christley, II, were married November 30, 1991 in the Washington D.C. Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bethesda, Maryland.

The officiating clergyman was Russell M. Maddock, First Counselor in the Temple Presidency.

The reception was held November 30, 1991, at the New River Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at Pembroke, Va.

The maid of honor was Jeanine Martin, sister of the bride. The flowergirl was Nicki Williams, cousin of the bride. The best man was Matt Saunders of Roanoke. Ringbearer was Jared Wayne Martin, nephew of the bride. The guestbook was attended by Brooke Christley, sister of the groom.

The bride's gown was made of white bridal satin adorned with beautiful hand-beaded schiffli lace with a wedding band collar covered with seed pearls and sequines. The fitted bodice and shoulders were adorned with pearl droplets. The long, fitted sleeves came to a point at the wrist and there was a double bow at the back waist. The trumpet skirt, embellished with lace appliques, iridescent sequines and pearls, extended into a chapel-length train. The two-tier, waist length veil was wreath style, designed of pearl peps, flowers and iridescent beads. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, stephnotis and baby's breath.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Wayne Martin of Pembroke, Va. She is a graduate of Giles High School and a graduate of Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke. The bride is employed by Shenandoah Life Insurance Company of Roanoke, Va.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wayne Christley, Sr., of Roanoke, Va. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and attends Virginia Western Community College. He served a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the San Diego California Mission. The bridegroom is employed by Cave Spring Excavating of Roanoke.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke, Va., after a wedding trip to Daytona Beach, Florida.
