DIVERS-LANIER
Betty S. Lanier and Russell FloydDivers were married February 14,1992 in
the bride's home. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Donald L. Dyer. The
reception was held at the bride's home in Roanoke. The cake was attended by
Faye Adams and the punch by Unice Neighbors. The bride's gown was a pink tea
length dress of lace and chiffon with beaded accent at the waist. Her shoes
were pink to match the dress. She was wearing pink pearls, a gift from the
bridegroom. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses, baby breath, silk
lace and seed pearls. The bride is a daughter of the late Harvey F. Sparks and
Mabel R. Sparks of Elkin, N.C. She is a graduate of Ronda High School, Ronda,
N.C. and is employed by Orvis Mail Order Co. The bridegroom, son of the late
James and Lillian Divers of Franklin County, is retired. The newlyweds will
live in Roanoke.
