LAWS, CHESTER D.Chester Dayton Laws, age 63, died Friday in a Pearisburg, Va. hospital. He was born February 7, 1929, at Avery County, N. C., and was the son of the late Loranzy and Sallie Carver Laws. Mr. Laws was a farmer, an eighteen year resident of Lindside and a member of the Lindside Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Erma Buckner Laws; six sons, Gary L. Laws, Wikel, W. Va.; Thomas D. and William J. Laws, both of Lindside, W. Va.; Jason Laws, at home; Randolph C. Laws of Panacea, Fla.; and Arthur Robert Long of Lindside; two duaghters, Sandra L. Bishop of Greenville, W. Va.; and Sue L. Dienst of Banner Elk, N. C.; two brothers, Thomas F. And Samuel Laws, both of Heaton, N. C.; two sisters, Sudie L. Howell, Johnson City, Tenn.; Nell L. Jennings of Banner Elk, N. C.;fifteen grandchildren, Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Lindside Christian Church with Minister Ronald Goss. Burial will follow at the Laws Family Cemetery, Lindside. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Broyles Funeral Home in Peterstown, W.Va.
