CLEMSON TEAMS WIN ACC TRACK CROWNS
Clemson's men won their fourth straight team title Saturday while Clemson's women ended North Carolina's four year winning streak at the Atlantic Coast Conference indoor track championships.The Tigers' men's team finished with 136 points after 16 events, followed by North Carolina with 112. North Carolina State finished third with 68, followed by Florida State's 61, Wake Forest at 42, Georgia Tech 33, Virginia 33 and Maryland 9. Duke did not score.
Clemson's men's team used strength in sprints and middle distance events. Michael Green won the 55 meters in 6.15 seconds, Larry Ryans took the 55-meter hurdles in a meet record 7.12 seconds and Cormac Finnerty swept the mile (4:03.72) and 3,000-meter run (8:16.73).
In women's competition, Clemson finished with 107 points.
