Ramsey, Maynard C.

Mr. Maynard Carlton Ramsey, age 76, of Rt. 1 died Friday, February 14, 1992 at the Veterans Medical Center in Salem. He was born May 16, 1915 in Franklin County, a son of the late Everett and Della Mae Scott Ramsey. Preceding him in death was a son, Henry B. Ramsey. He was retired from Bassett Industries of Bassett, Va. and served in the Air Force for four years during World War II. Also, he was a member of Republican Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Irene Jones Ramsey of the home; a son and two daughters-in-law, Carlton and Linda Ramsey of Chatham, Peggy Ramsey of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren, Ashley and Kerrington Ramsey; two sisters, Beatrice Ramsey of Martinsville and Pearl Williams of Florida; a sister-in-law, Nannie Ramsey of Martinsville; two brothers, Charlie H. Ramsey of Collinsville and Jessie Ramsey of Rocky Mount; a brother-in-law, Willard Smith of Ridgeway. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Lynch Chapel with Elder Junior Conner and Elder leonard Brammer officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
