Kim Stewart had 20 points and Patrick Henry managed only one point in the third quarter as Cave Spring beat the Patriots 71-35 and clinched the Roanoke Valley District regular season girls' basketball title.
Cave Spring also got 16 points from Lisa Hodges. The Knights led 41-20 at halftime and put the game away by outscoring the Patriots 19-1 in the third quarter.
Ashaki Johnson led Patrick Henry with 14 points. \

Danae Wegner scored 18 points and Brandi Surkamer added 17 to lead Roanoke Valley Christian to a Blue Ridge Conference girls' victory.
The Eagles (13-7 overall, 10-0 conference) got 34 points from their starters, who played only in the first and fourth quarters.
The Raiders fell to 6-12, 2-10. \

In a story on the North Cross-Roanoke Valley Christian girls basketball game, it was reported that Roanoke Valley Christian used its starters only in the first and fourth quarters. The Eagles actually used some starters mixed with reserves during the other two quarters.
