HOSTETTER, LILLIE S.

Lillie Virginia Smith Hostetter, age 80, died Tuesday, February 18, 1992, at her home. Mrs. Hostetter was born January 10, 1912, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late John William Smith and John Plogger Smith. She was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Madison McKinley Hostetter; a daughter, Frances Smith; and a son, John A. Hostetter. Surviving are one daughter, Pearl Conner, Buena Vista; two sons, Franklin Hostetter, Buena Vista; Eugene (Matt) Hostetter, Lexington; two foster sons, Henry M. Hostetter, Timothy R. Smith, both of Lexington; one sister, Mary Miller, Princess Anne, Maryland; two brothers, Henry F. Smith, Hampton; D. W. Smith, Lexington; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 1992, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel, with Chaplain Robert K. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
