4 HIGHLANDERS TOP PIONEER VOLLEYBALL

Pioneer District champion Glenvar placed Bobbi Jo Wright, Paula Kennedy, Jan Plympton and Michelle Nervo on the 13-member all-district volleyball squad as selected by the league's coaches.

Natural Bridge (Susan Chittum and Stephanie Mason), Craig County (Betsy Boardwine and Shelly Keffer) and Parry McCluer (Nikki Camden and Crystal Coleman) each placed two girls on the team.

The other All-Pioneer District selections are James River's Belinda Smith, Rockbridge's Cathy Smedley and Bath County's Chris Robertson. - Staff report
