SERVICE AWARDS PROGRAM IS ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS
Nominations are now being taken for the Wytheville Community College Distinguished Service Awards program, including awards for teaching and service.Forms and brochures that explain the program are available at the president's office on campus. Each award carries a cash prize and the Distinguished Teaching Award winner also will receive a fund to be spent on personal academic enhancement.
The program was established in 1990 in memory of Nathaniel W. Pendleton Sr. who, as a member of the House of Delegates in 1962, was instrumental in getting legislation passed to establish Wytheville Community College.
